     :: Different ways of cutting (mowing)
     :: Whether to mulch or catch (bag) the clippings (grass) as it is mowed
     :: Keeping the lawn looking lush with proper irrigation (watering)
     :: Application (fertilizing and weed control)
     :: Pesticides (insect control).

Landscaping, although beautiful to look at and therapeutic, is a "full-time hobby" at best.  Choosing and caring for flowers, shrubbery and bedding mulch as it relates to the surroundings is very important.  Having the right application, (fertilization and weed control), pesticide (insect control) and irrigation (watering), will mean the difference in money well spent or wasted.

Irrigation Maintenance

Each spring the following steps are necessary to maintain your irrigation (sprinkler) system::

     :: Start up the system by pressurizing the system from the main water supply
     :: Check for any obvious leakage in the back-flow unit
     :: Check along the routing of the irrigation system throughout the lawn and landscaping for leaks
     :: Check for any defective spray (sprinkler) heads to be repaired and/or replaced

Also, setting up the electronic control system for the watering schedule is crucial to the success of your lawn being watered only when needed, saving you money without losing your lawn.
